Meet Cordylia! Her name, meaning the “heart” or “jewel” of the sea, meant she was destined to be a mermaid. Cordylia lived on land as a child, but soon realized she was called to the sea, and that’s where she felt at peace…at home as the calm of the sea called her. Little did Cordylia know, she possessed a magical power that was revealed to her after her 16th birthday. She felt she needed to keep it a secret so she would be safe…..Cordylia was a mermaid….and not just a regular mermaid but a mermaid of Royal blood, it was her birthright….her destiny. It totally explained why as a young child she was drawn to the water, the ocean in particular. It was hard to keep Cordylia from the sea with its waves crashing…..singing a song. The beautiful shells and coral and her ability to communicate with the marine life. The dolphins loved spending their days swimming with her, but her very best friend was a sea turtle she called Auguia. Cordylia still possesses the power to walk among the land dwellers, and spends time with her land family as often as she can, but she spends the majority of her life in the ocean. Cordylia is determined to find her pod as she knows there are more mermaids out there….as the princess and soon-to-be queen of her pod, it was important to her to find her family.
